This pretty self-contained ground-floor annexe, close to the A38, is conveniently located between the historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth and provides a perfect base for a fun-filled holiday.

Nestling close to Dartmoor National Park, this is a great spot for enjoying walking, cycling and horse riding. The charming South Devon stannery town of Ashburton can also be found nearby, offering an excellent range of local shops and facilities. Take a drive towards the coast and discover the pretty South Hams, an area of exceptional beauty and contrast, with fabulous beaches, river estuaries, rolling hills and thatched cottages surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and Ivybridge. Other attractions nearby include the English Riviera, Kent Caverns, Paignton Zoo, Plymouth Marine Aquarium, and Ashburton Cookery School. Venturing further, you could visit Exeter, Torquay or Plymouth, or discover the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This property adjoins the owners' home but privacy is assured. On entering this delightful annexe you will find yourself in the welcoming and bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lovely, light lounge area is ideal for relaxation, with TV/DVD and patio doors opening onto the garden. The dining area is ideally situated, and the stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you may need including an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and dishwasher. Unfortunately, there is no washing machine, but it is possible to use the owner’s by arrangement. Exploring further, you will find a pretty double bedroom. There is also a wet room-style shower room, complete with WC.

Stepping outside, you can dine outside or relax at the end of an enjoyable day in the private enclosed patio garden with outdoor furniture and access to the owner’s lawn garden. Off-road parking is available for one car on the owner’s driveway.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was very clean and cosy, kitchen well equipped every thing you would need if cooking and eating in. Small secluded patio area with garden table and chairs. Wine, tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge or a welcome drink on arrival. Area good for sightseeing. Two pubs a short drive away serving excellent food.

When we found our way to the property we were delighted at how beautifully clean and well presented the annexe is. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, better than any other holiday cottage we've stayed in. Everything matching so if weather bad and you can't get out would be quite happy to stay indoors. Enclosed garden so dog could wander aroundRead more and not get out. Only drawback is being down a really narrow and very tight entrance, difficult to get in and out of property. Lovely welcome pack. The only problem i found if you miss you turning off the road to go down to the cottage you end up going down the A38 to turn around to come back.

An excellent self-catering cottage, well equiped with almost everything. Lovely and so helpful to have a few things provided on arrival. A very comfortable place to stay, hoping to return for another holiday before too long. Lots to do and see nearby.

Absolutely perfect, lovely quite retreat, accommodation had everything you could think of, two very nice pubs with restaurants close by driving about 5 minutes away , location great for Plymouth, Exeter, Trago mills , perfect , host was great left us too it , would highly recommend.

Fabulous home, lovely decor, well equipped and nice and clean. Little touches, such as a welcome gift of 2 miniature bottles of wine, lovely chunky cookies and a welcome pint of milk in the fridge, for that essential cuppa on arrival. Definitely recommend this property.
