Stylish annexe cottage for a couple’s break, set in a rural location just a short drive from the beautiful Cornish coast.

This pretty property, located in a wing of the main house, enjoys a tranquil rural location, with a pub and shop just one mile away. The harbour town of Mevagissey is a fifteen-minute drive away and is a lovely place to while away an afternoon, wandering its narrow streets, watching the fishing boats come in and trying out one of the harbour-side restaurants. Truro is only a 10 minute drive where you can enjoy an abundance of shops and restaurants. Fowey, another well known harbour town is great for a day out. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also very close by, as is the beautiful Georgian town of Charlestown, with its tall ships moored in the harbour, shipwreck museum, and sandy beach. Or why not take a day trip and explore what the North Cornish Coast has to offer.

This cottage-style annexe is a wonderful place to spend some time away from the stresses of everyday life. Entering the property up two shallow steps from the enclosed patio brings guests straight into the lounge/diner, with its comfortable seating, TV, and DVD, making this a lovely space in which to relax after a day exploring the local area. The separate kitchen, though compact, is contemporary and stylish and is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, and microwave. The shower room with WC is also located on the ground floor. Stairs from the lounge/diner lead straight to the property’s bedroom: a relaxing double, with bedside tables and cupboard space.

Outside, the property benefits from its own pretty patio area, which provides space for alfresco dining or a quiet drink as the sun goes down. In addition to this area, guests are also able to enjoy the four acres of grounds belonging to the main house. Off-road parking is available within the owner’s grounds.

Small, but very nice accommodation in general. Very nice bed and linen. Very well positioned to tour Cornwall. Quite steep and narrow staircase and very small showeroom, not suited to larger customers. Toilet downstairs.

On arrival, after a fairly long and busy journey, we were made very welcome with scones, ,cream and jam waiting for us. The accommodation was very clean with the bedroom spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Lovely quiet location. Poppys Annexe is suitable for two. We felt we were central for most places. Cosy accommodation. Sofa is rather uncomfortable and needs replacing. People with bad backs will suffer. Bed is comfortable though. Scones, jam and clotted cream and milk were a very nice touch upon arrival.

The cottage was beautiful and well equipped. Although joining the main house it wasnt overlooked and was nice and peaceful. The owners are lovely and friendly and welcoming. Very accommodating to our needs. Would definitely go back.

Despite being in a rural location, the property is within a short drive away from many places to visit, the sea and shopping facilities. The annexe was big enough and well equipped for a couple. The location is very quiet and rural which we love There are 2 very friendly dogs that belong to the family which were a great addition to our days!

The cottage was well equipped, clean and presentable. Nice seating area outside. Location is remote (which was a good thing) but a short walk in one direction you have an excellent pub (food gr8) and a local store, and in the other direction a massive complex (imagine B&Q, equestrian centre, clothing all together in one) this also had a very good rRead moreestaurant. All-in-all this was a peaceful and relaxing weeks break which is just what we both needed. This is a good base for several visiting places. Hide

Lovely, peaceful location but you do need to drive to get anywhere. Cream tea and milk very welcome and appreciated after long journey.
