In a superbly unique location in one of the most scenic and peaceful areas of Skye, the cottage, close to the River Brittle with rewarding stunning views of the towering Cuillins, rising steeply from the shore, also seen from the garden and conservatory.

Glenbrittle is at the end of a 7 mile single track road famous for its scenery and landscapes that will take our breath away at every turn. Skye is one of the top locations in Scotland to visit and will not fail to impress. The Cullins offer challenging climbing but there are lovely walks and viewpoints in the surrounding forests, enjoy fishing and kayaking on the river, along the shore an abundance of wildlife and birds can be seen. At the foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle are the magical Fairy Pools, beautifully crystal clear blue pools on the River Brittle, these famous pools entice visitors from all over the world. Visit the famous Talisker distillery, Armadale Castle, Dunvegan Castle and Gardens along with numerous Arts and Crafts galleries.

The cottage is accessed from a parking bay by a wooden footbridge over the River Brittle and a 200-yard uphill footpath, the walk is rewarded by stunning views of the towering Cuillins rising steeply from the shore. On arrival this semi-detached cottage you step inside to the conservatory where you can sit and take in the outstanding views towards the Cullins or play a board game from selection provided. Continue through to the spacious open plan living area with modern fully equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge with ice box, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine. Lounge area with comfy sofa and dining table and chairs. Heading back through the hallway you will find the bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and WC and the double bedroom with ample storage and TV.

Stepping back outside there is an enclosed garden. Parking is available in the parking bay by the wooden bridge. Owner lives adjacent to the property.

The Isle of Skye is one of the top locations to visit in Scotland and when you experience the rugged landscape of this magical destination, it's easy to see why. The Cuillins mountain range provides a challenging climb for those that like an adventure. If you're looking for a more sedate holiday experience then there are plenty of spectacular viewpoints from the surrounding forests, along with wildlife and birdwatching spots right from your doorstep and fantastic fishing opportunities.

The nearest seasonal shop is 0.5 miles from the property and there is a small beach within easy walking distance too. Just 3.5 miles from the cottage you will find the beautiful Fairy Pools of Glenbrittle. These crystal-clear blue pools of water with their stunning waterfalls are not to be missed. Visitors travel from all over the world to catch a glimpse of their beauty.

Other notable attractions include the famous Talisker Distillery and Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. The distillery is an essential visit for those who enjoy whisky and would like to learn how it is produced and is located around 8 miles from the property. Set upon the shores of Loch Harport, the setting is just perfect. Take the tour while you're there and a bottle to take back home. Dunvegan Castle and Gardens is a little further afield (approximately 27 miles) but well worth a visit to experience the grand history of the castle and its gorgeous gardens.

We had a wonderful stay in this property for the week of our honeymoon. The house was perfectly suited to our needs - especially the view from the front of the house - a conservatory with panoramic view of beautiful mountains, sea and field for miles around. We have stayed here twice now and will definitely return next year too. The cottage has everything one could need, it is cosy, sparklingly clean, with awesome views of the Cuillins. Perfect for a couple or solo travellers. We love the peace and tranquility of this cottage.

The cottage was very comfortable in a beautiful setting. The owner was lovely. There was however a somewhat difficult path up to the cottage that made getting our suitcase and shopping up to the cottage very difficult. I wasn't bothered by the fact that there wasn't Wi-Fi, but in a place with no phone signal a landline phone could've been helpful fRead moreor us to let our families know we had arrived safely, rather than having to drive 45 minutes for mobile signal.
