Perched at the top of the stunning Sterridge Valley, this is one of a complex of nine charming cottages with plenty of space and onsite activities, and is set in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The delightful village of Combe Martin is a few minutes’ drive away, and hosts a highly recommended 17th century inn. Also nearby is the lovely picture postcard village of Berrynarbor. The golden sandy beaches of Croyde, Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe are all just a twenty minute drive away, offering some of the best surf in the South West. There are many other great attractions in the area including The Big Sheep, Dartington Crystal, Milky Way Amusement Park, and Combe Martin Wildlife Park.

On entering this accommodation you will find a set of stairs directly in front of you, at top of the stairs you will find the open-plan lounge/diner. The spacious and bright lounge makes an attractive space to relax and dine, complete with TV /DVD. The stylish separate kitchen is equipped with everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer and washing machine. The cottage is reverse-level so, heading back down to the ground floor you will find two comfy bedrooms. There’s a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom complete with hand-held shower over the bath and WC, and a cosy twin bedroom with en-suite shower and WC.

Heading outside, is a cute courtyard with your own picnic table and charcoal BBQ or you can unwind at the end of the day on the spacious lawn area with outdoor seating which is shared with the other properties in the complex. Or you could head for the shared indoor heated swimming pool with sunken hot tub. Children can also play in an enclosed outdoor play area with swing basket, trampoline, baby swing and picnic benches, and there’s an indoor games barn with table tennis, pool table and table football. There are also 18 acres of gardens and paddocks to explore, making the site a real country retreat ideal for families, friends or couples alike. Guests are welcome to meet the resident donkeys and pony. Sheep and cows also graze the surrounding meadows of the farm.

Lovely stay in buttercup cottage! Cottage was really well equipped with everything we would need, with a lovely welcome pack. The pool and games room kept our daughter amused.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful part of Devon. Lovely warm swimming pool that the kids loved plus the air hockey in the games room. Had lovely days out to woolacombe, cycling on the Tarka trail, visiting Combe Martin wildlife and dinosaur park and Arlington court. Plenty to do within a 30 minute drive

A very comfortable cottage. Extremely clean with all the equipment we required. The swimming pool was lovely and warm as was the jacuzzi . We were lucky to have it to ourselves when it opened in the morning. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Although the weather was very wet at times it was a convenient place to be. Lovely cottage with plenty for the kids to enjoy. The pool was clean, well maintained and warm, the children showed no signs of shivering even after a prolonged dip. Well located for day trips to the beach and other local attractions.

What a gorgeous location! Our days with kiddos were perfect - breakfast, pool, lunch and beach in Ilfracombe or Woolacombe, pool, dinner! With stops to see the pony and donkeys or play in the games room along the way. Hot tub and sauna were a great bonus for us parents, too.

Really fabulous location and setting. Very sad to leave the tranquility of the space and freedom for us and our dog. Lots to do in the area too but must admit to daily walks in the field provided and beaches were all we needed to rest and recuperate. We had a lovely stay, thank you. We loved the card and wine on arrival. The cottage is well fitted out and is in a great location being both rural and within easy reach of the things we wanted to visit. We enjoyed meeting the pony, donkeys and dog! The stair gate and high chair made things easy with our baby. We would love to visit again.

Really lovely place, great facilities and the view from the property was lovely. Was quite rural but only 15 mins to Ilfracombe nearest town. Had the swimming pool to ourself pretty much for the entire visit which was great.
