Nestled in the oldest part of the picturesque village of Appledore, this cosy fisherman’s cottage offers the perfect romantic getaway and sets you perfectly for exploring the North Devon coast.

This delightful little cottage is just yards from the slipway in Appledore and is within easy walking distance of the bustling quayside, unique galleries, friendly pubs, restaurants and cafes, found amidst the narrow cobbled streets. It is perfectly located for beach-combing the estuary shore and walking the coastal path with its wonderful views, while the nearby beach at Westward Ho! offers great surfing. A short drive will take you to the Elizabethan port of Bideford and the cliff-side village Clovelly. Nearby attractions include the beautiful gardens of Tapeley Park or RHS Rosemoor or for the kids, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. At the end of the day, watch the sun sink beneath the waves from a waterside pub.

You’ll step into a small entrance lobby before heading into the delightful, open-plan lounge with wood laminate flooring, rugs, pictures and artwork by local artists and an attractive heart creates a cosy feel to the room. When you just want to relax on the sofa you can make use of the TV/DVD and CD and DVD. The kitchen/diner offers painted units, an electric oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The bedrooms are accessed via steep staircase from the kitchen and both offer fitted storage and electric radiators. There is one king-size room and a single room with ample space for a cot if you’re bringing a really little one with you. The compact L-shaped bathroom is located in between the two bedrooms and has an electric power shower over bath and WC.

Outside you will have your very own secluded patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. This is accessed 40 meters up a charming drangway, typical of the village. There is parking on the road nearby or you’ll find a pay and display car park a short walk away.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Yes I thought it was a charming little cottage and I loved the ambience of the street, it was too wet to sit in the garden, but mid summer it would be lovely.

Delightful old cottage. Great village with quality local shops and pubs. Plenty to do in the area.

A lovely, warm and homely cottage. We were fortunate to have good weather, which only made the holiday more memorable.

The only two issues I had with the cottage were the bed which desperately needed a new mattress The stairs were very steep and would not be suitable for any one with any mobility problems The cottage was clean and had lots of character. The equipment and location were ideal. It made a good base for the holiday

Sal's Place is at the quay end of Irsha Street, which makes it very convenient for parking and carrying personal property to and from the car park.

What this cottage lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in location. If you're looking for a base for everything Appledore and the surrounding areas have to offer you couldn't do better. It is small but it's clean and comfortable and just minutes from harbour on the right and a great pub serving good food on the left. Would definitely recommend

Isrsha Street is very busy, but very well located for all your needs, great walks, places to eat and pubs!! The cottage is compact but just right for two, very clean all amenities, We would certainly recommend.

Lovely little cottage, very clean and well equipped with charming seaside style decoration; perfect location on Irsha street for access to the beach, the quay, pubs and shops. It is small but it coped fine with 2 adults and 2 small dogs, we also enjoyed sitting in the little garden up the drangeway. Sals place was ideal for us . Close to car park, amenities, and to the sea front. It was well equipped and even had milk in the fridge for our arrival . Also lots of information on places to visit nearby. I would defiantly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Appledore .

We had a great time at Sal's Place. It's situated centrally in the town and it's not too far to walk to shops, pubs etc. The house itself was perfect for us (2 adults and a lively dachsund!). One thing I would say if you have a dog or child is that the stairs are very steep so you would need to bear that in mind.
