Gorgeous bungalow with excellent outdoor space, in walking distance of beautiful Beadnell Bay’s sandy beach and array of water sports. This is the perfect seaside getaway for a couple or small family.

This exquisite accommodation is situated just a short 300m stroll from beautiful Beadnell Bay, with beachside refreshments, two popular pub/restaurants, a general store, an excellent cafe by day/bistro by night, and a children's play area with football nets. This is a superb beach for rock pooling, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and windsurfing, or simply find a sand dune for a picnic to watch some sailing. Follow the coastal path, past the scenic golf course, to Seahouses to enjoy a boat trip to see puffins and seals on the Farne Islands (the harbour is 2.3 miles away), or head to Bamburgh’s fabulous beach and castle (5.4 miles). Walking south you will discover Dunstanburgh Castle (9 miles), Embleton Beach (6 miles), and Low Newton (6 miles) where a drink and lunch in the beachside pub beckons, while a short drive inland takes you to Alnwick Castle (13.4 miles).

Access to this beautifully presented property is via the garden gate and through the large, enclosed garden to the conservatory. Here, you can hang up your outdoor gear and leave your shoes, before finding a comfortable corner sofa on which to relax. Mornings can be spent overlooking the garden with a book and your coffee in hand. A sliding glazed door leads into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where there is another corner sofa bed, perfect for one or two additional child guests. Curl up together in the evenings to watch the Smart TV with a Netflix account which has already been set up for you. There is a dining table and four stools where you can enjoy meals together indoors. The kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, a fridge, and a dishwasher. From the lounge area, head through to the attractive, dual aspect king-size bedroom with a single trundle bed beneath which pulls out for a third guest to sleep. The shower room has a shower and WC.

Outside, there are multiple seating areas in the fully enclosed, private garden so you can dine alfresco at the table with cushioned seating, catch up at the picnic bench or recline on the garden chairs with drinks. There is off-road allocated parking for one car to the rear of the property.

Beautiful little place with everything in walking distance. The beach is 5 minutes walk through a little ally way ( even though Google say 18 minutes walk ) and two pubs the same just in different directions. 2 coffee places are also so near. We loved our stay in this really secure cottage, the bed and sofa are really comfy. Our dogs loved the gardRead moreen area. The beautiful local village shop is ran by wonderful friendly people..We will be visiting again as this location has everything you need. Hide

Lovely cosy property (despite the poor weather on the first couple of days) Very clean and tidy, comfy bed and sofas, well equipped kitchen and great outdoor space - perfectly secure the the dogs. Fabulous location for beach, cafes, pubs and in fact anywhere in Northumberland.

Cosy single storey semi-detached property with all you need for your holiday. We stayed with our two labs and they loved the beautiful beaches and a nice sized garden to relax in after long walks and pit stops at the ocal dog friendly courtyard cafe and Craster Arms pub.

A little dated in certain parts of bungalow. Be aware if you have dogs, garden safe, however public footpath runs along garden fence, dogs could start to bark. Ours did. Great location, quiet on an evening most of the time. Lovely places to eat and visit. Thank you to all at Sandy Bottom.

The bungalow was very clean, thoughtfully decorated and, we felt, well equipped for a short or one week stay. Only a short walk from the beautiful beach at Beadnell. Recommend reading the list of facilities provided so as not to be disappointed by lack of what you may consider to be essential items. Stayed here last year so knew what to expect. If you are looking for a quaint seaside cottage this is not it, it's modern and on an estate. However, if you want a location close to beaches and within easy reach of the many attactions in Northumberland then this is the place. I would suggest the people who own this property stay in it for a week so they realise that the comments in the visitor book are all true. Due to the area and the lack of shops a freezer is an essential, the latch on the gate doesn't catch so isn't dog/child friendly, a washing up bowl is needed, a mop and other cleaning equipment needed, a tabletoRead morep washing machine would be helpful for a holiday that is mainly walking and beach. The heating system is too hard to understand for cooler evenings. Hide

The cottage was just lovely, very cosy, a home away from home, it was perfect for us and our dog. The secure garden was fantastic and the cottage itself is in a great location. We had the most fantastic time and will definitely be coming back.

Great little cottage. Well equipped, very clean, comfortable and in an excellent location for a short walk to the beach (great for dog walking) in one direction and two pubs (very dog friendly) in the other. Garden is very secure for dogs, with high fencing, decking and Astro-turf area. Already looking at dates for a return trip.

Cottage location just a few minutes walk from the beach was brilliant. The bed was comfortable but the electric heating was barely adequate for January! Plenty of crockery etc but would have benefitted from a freezer and, for longer stays, a washing machine. All in all, we would happily return for another short break and recommend it for such.

Lovely stay. Well equipped and comfortable. Perfect for our dog as garden was very well kept and enclosed. Having the entrance via the conservatory also a huge bonus with our dog as it was easy to clean muddy paws before entering the main living quarters.

Enclosed garden was great for the dogs but perimeter fence borders a walk way/path on two sides and a small grass area so not always very quiet. Bungalow had everything we needed but lacks a wardrobe which would have been useful to hang clothes and store suitcases. Lovely location, dog friendly beaches within close walking distance. Large TV is a bonus and the bed and settee very comfortable. Outdoors is spacious (nice deckchairs) but the pigeons and their droppings can be a nuisance, even when told off by our dog. Beadnell has only a small shop but a Co-op is in Seahouses (1 hour free parking is a bonus in tRead morehe main car park). Very disappointed with Sandy Bottom. Nowhere to hang clothes. No eggcups which should be a basic requirement. Found the property quite dark. Also pillows did not match and one was like a brick. Although love area wouldn't stay at Sandy Bottom again.

The house is compact and bijou, good location close to the beach. The house was cold ( we couldnt work out the fancy radiator that seems to be linked to the wifi?) The house was clean and there were plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery and enough glasses for a party! The bathroom is very small. The cottage had a cool feel, although the conservatory was warm and pleasant. Disappointed there was no freezer compartment in the fridge.
