In a beautiful farm setting and surrounded by one of the largest reed beds in Europe, this property is a stone’s throw from a site of special scientific interest. Located two miles from the popular Lizard Peninsula village of Mullion, with its pubs, cafes, shops and galleries. Once you have finished exploring the village, discover the many sandy beaches and sheltered coves that are dotted along the coastline, the closest of which is Poldhu Cove, a popular spot just 1.5 miles away.

Inside, this cottage is full of charm, from exposed stone work to sash windows. The kitchen is modern and includes an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Once you have finished preparing your meals, dine in the cosy lounge where a table sits in sunlight beside a large sash window. Next, relax on one of the comfortable sofas and make the most of the TV/DVD available whilst sitting in front of the electric fire. There are two cosy bedrooms, both light and airy from large traditional sash windows providing views across the garden. The bedrooms share a family bathroom, which has an overhead shower.

Outside, an area with picnic table and chairs gives way to a large grassed garden. This is a peaceful spot in which to relax with an evening drink or BBQ in the summer. We had a lovely stay in this cottage and it was a lovely touch to have the owner greet us herself. In addition, we were very grateful for the complimentary scones with clotted cream and jam. The cottage was very clean and well presented. The kitchen also well stocked. This was a wonderful home form home. The location is very peaceful so makes for aRead more restful stay. You're not far from the local grocery stores and perfect for driving into the likes of Carbis Bay, St Ives and Penzance. Hide

The most amazing scones were left to welcome us. Very close to Poldhu beach and 15 minutes from Helston. Great location, and I enjoyed sitting out in the evening and watching the wildlife, lots of bats and different species of owls. A family of Barnowls flew around evening.

Nice quiet location. Furnishings generally good but the sofas have no support. My husband spent the evenings in the chair whilst I hugged the edge closest to the arm of the sofa as, despite being a petite person, I was left wallowing in a saggy seat if I wanted to sit more centrally. No cuddling up to watch a movie on this break. Beware there are sRead moretorage radiators so plan ahead for when you want heat. Beds comfortable and bathroom good. WiFi, although advertised as being available, was very poor Hide
