The beautiful Cowal Peninsular offers an exceptional highland experience with deep glens, waterfalls, rivers, and acres of forest and hills to explore. The estate is in a tranquil secluded location and is ideally situated for exploring the area or for enjoying day trips to Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Inverary, the Crinan Canal and the Clyde coast. There are extensive walks and mountain bike trails, as well as opportunities for fishing, clay shooting, stalking, hill walking and golf. Dunoon is the main town in the area and offers a museum, leisure centre and a fascinating selection of craft shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Or you could stay on-site and enjoy the wonderful wildlife and scenery in this beautiful location.

On entering this fantastic property, head up to the first floor where you will find the cosy and welcoming lounge. Tastefully furnished and offering open fire, TV / DVD, the lounge is perfect for a spot of relaxation. Patio doors lead out onto a charming decked balcony area with seating and stunning loch views. Back inside, you will find the elegantly designed kitchen/diner is fully equipped with electric hob and oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and a bright and pleasant dining area. You will also find a comfy twin bedroom on this floor.  You will also find a bathroom with bath and WC. Going down to the ground floor you will find a cosy but spacious double bedroom with patio doors leading to an enclosed outdoor decked seating area. There is also a shower room complete with sauna and WC.

As well as the main cottage, the accommodation also offers a smoke house, with a double bedroom, accessed via steep ladder stairs, and with patio doors leading out onto a balcony. There is also a bathroom with bath and WC.

Stepping outside, you can explore the grounds of the extensive estate and watch the birds and wildlife, or relax in the garden with seating. You will have access to the pier and its seating area, though please note that care should be taken with children. Also please note that the pier is not private and may be used by others on the estate. The property is on a working estate with stalking in the summer and shooting in the winter.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

On the whole we had a lovely time here. The area is very remote but this is what we expected. The views were outstanding and cottage is well equipped but in need of some tlc. Would definitely return here. Great to experience pheasant shooting the day before we left. But didn't get to see much wildlife but appricate the time of year we were here wouRead moreld affect this. This cottage is in a fantastic location, great scenery, wildlife spotting and walking. We hadnt truly appreciated that being part of a working estate meant that there were pheasants everywhere, and walking 2 viszlas on the lead all the time was a challenge!

Awesome views, stunning landscape and quietness, very helpfull and friendly housekeepers, cosy little livingroom with open fireplace, the best place to unwind and enjoy nature. But some facilities do badly need a refurbishment.

Unbelievable location. Superb, helpful estate staff. Great value for money but we would have happily paid a bit more to be a little more comfortable - fitted curtains with blackout and blinds that work etc. That said, best holiday ever in unique position.
