  • Lark wood cabin for a couple in idyllic Pembrokeshire countryside
  • Situated on a tranquil small holding with farm animals
  • Rural location within 5 miles of Saundersfoot and the sea
Property code: 88421

Enjoy an escape to this quaint country cabin for two set on an idyllic small holding in the heart of Pembrokeshire.

The cabin is set on the owners’ small holding just 1 mile from the village of Cresselly. Carew Castle and Tidal Mill (2.5 miles) is a scenic spot for a walk and to explore the castle grounds before heading to the bar and restaurant across the road for a bite to eat. Cresswell Quay and its tidal estuary is just 2 miles away and the market town of Narberth can be reached in 8 miles, boasting a range of independent shops, cafes and galleries. If a day at the beach is in order, Saundersfoot (5 miles) offers up golden sand and a vibrant town centre.

As you enter the cabin you are welcomed into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There's a sumptuous two-seater sofa and a Smart TV built into the sideboard. The whole cabin was hand made with lark wood by the owners’ family and the attention to detail really shows. The kitchen has been equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and under-counter fridge. There is also plenty of cookware and utensils to rustle up a hearty breakfast to start your day off right. There is a dining table for two to enjoy your meals from and plan out your next day's activities. The cosy bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room with a free-standing shower and WC. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep amid tranquil surroundings and awake refreshed. Storage for your clothing has been provided and there is an additional rail in the living area to hang shirts and dresses.

Externally the cabin benefits from a small, gravelled garden area with outdoor seating and a BBQ. Enjoy an evening outside, dining alfresco while looking over the fields. If you are lucky, some of the resident donkeys and sheep may even pop their head over the fence to say ‘hello’ too. The cabin is surrounded by private fields where the animals are kept. There is off-road parking on a gravel drive for one car, and the property is accessed by a shared, gravelled, well-lit footpath.

We had a lovely long weekend at The Bray - the weather was cold but dry, & The Bray was equipped with blankets, a hot water bottle & heater to keep us snug & warm. The bedroom & bathroom are very compact, but manageable for a long weekend. The living area was spacious & well equipped for cooking breakfast or dinner. Clear skies meant it was a perfeRead morect spot for star gazing, & we enjoyed seeing the sheep & donkeys who were keen to say hello each day! A great base to visit the local area. Hide

The Shepherds hut is in a beautiful position, quiet & peaceful. It has all the equipment & mod cons needed & was very clean. The bed was very comfortable & it was a pleasure to wake up to birdsong & sometimes the braying of the donkeys. Wi-Fi connection & tv reception were both very good & reliable. We had a great 3day break, met by the owner who was a lovely person and gave us all the relevant info .fantastic location secluded and peaceful plus the fact you are not too far away from the owners residence should you need anything or any assistance . Would return again without hesitation.

Fabulous countryside location which is easy accessible to Tenby, Saundersfoot etc. The Bray is well equipped and comfortable, and the little extras were most appreciated. The owners are on hand if you need anything, and are so down to earth and friendly. A fabulous 4 night stay and will definitely book again.

We loved the donkeys (They were not noisey for us). Kitchen was good and had all the equipment needed to make basic food. It's a secluded part of the property and the host was wonderful.
