Although small in appearance, don’t be fooled as the inside space has been perfectly designed to ensure you’re equipped with everything you need. Take the external steps to the first floor and enter through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides breath-taking sea views with large sliding windows, a dining space for two, comfy sofa, Smart TV which can be remotely hidden away, and a well-equipped kitchen including a built-in bean styled coffee machine. Other mod cons including Bluetooth speaker, iPad, mood lighting and underfloor heating ensure your stay is as luxurious as the view. Down the winding staircase you’ll enter the master king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room with blissful rainfall shower and LED mirror.

Outdoors you’re spoilt with two seating areas both with idyllic sea view settings. A grill BBQ, outdoor recliners and enclosed private garden space make it the perfect spot to unwind.

Fantastic little cosy bolt hole. Idyllic location watching life on the ocean wave. Everything catered for making our stay just that bit more comfortable. Nice that passers by look up and say hello. Absolutely recommend to stay in this property and Shaldon itself. Great food at The London Inn and also The Ferry Boat.

Perfect getaway for a rainy February. The most amazing view to watch the tide and all the comings and goings. Slept very well in the cosy comfy bed and the whole place is well cared for and up to date.

The Gun House is a lovely property right on the waters edge. It is very small but perfectly formed and very well equipped with high tech heating and lighting and very good instructions. Second visit and will be back.

The Gun House is a perfect place for 2, it,s a great conversion with everything supplied for a great break. The only thing to note is that the steep winding staircase would make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Thoroughly recommended, a beautiful well appointed unique property although it should be pointed out that the narrow stairs to the bedroom and bathroom might present a problem for those with mobility issues although the area can be accessed from outside, not a good option in inclement weather

The Gun House is a marvellous and unique place and the owners Andy and Barbara are so welcoming and helpful. The views are superb and the house is so well equipped, warm and comfortable. My sister and I had one of our best breaks at the Gun House and will come back when we can find availability as it is so popular, unsurprisingly.
