Set in the grounds of 17th-century Rowrah Hall, access the cottage by a small bridge over a babbling brook. A romantic hideaway, to explore the beautiful Lake District National Park and unspoilt coast.

The local area has a number of lovely walks and is on the sea to sea cycle route. Ennerdale Brewery is half a mile away, this family-run brewery produces cask and bottled ales, you can enjoy afternoon tea here or a brewery tour. Mockerkin Tarn, 4 miles away, offers a lovely walk and in the summer has a wonderful display of white and yellow water lilies. Less than 6 miles away is Holme Force waterfalls, visit the waterfall and then walk down to the shore of Loweswater. High Leys Nature Reserve is less than a mile from your front door, with footpaths and bird hides to explore. Cumbria kart racing club is only 1 mile away, the circuit hosts top-quality events but is also one of the most technical and demanding tracks in the UK.

Entering the cottage, you will find a lovely cosy open-plan kitchen and lounge with a comfy reclining sofa and wall-mounted Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, slimline dishwasher, washing machine,  coffee machine and microwave. There is a dining table, which offers a great space to enjoy breakfast or dinner and make plans for the remainder of your stay. From the kitchen head up a couple of steps, you will find yourself in the double bedroom, which is spacious, with wall-mounted Smart TV and has an en-suite bathroom with shower and WC.

There is a small private patio with seating at the front of the property, there is private parking for one car just 10 meters from the entrance. You will find a pub and shop within walking distance, with other pubs, restaurants and shops within 2 miles of the property.
