This beautiful, traditional cottage offers great space in a central location. Mevagissey is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall and is known for its narrow streets, colourful buildings and a historic harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fowey making for a lovely trip out. The South West Coast Path runs through the village and offers stunning views of the coastline. Walk to Portmellon Beach (1 mile) then on to Chapel Point and Colonna Beach, a favourite with the seals. Other popular activities in the area include fishing, boating and hiking. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are just 2.5 miles away by car or a 45-minute walk through a wooded valley and the Eden Project is 9.5 miles. Local beaches nearby include Porthpean Beach (1 mile), Pentewan Sands (3 miles) and Gorran Haven (3.5 miles). You will also be well placed to venture further afield and explore the many attractions Cornwall has to offer with something to suit all tastes, including Lands End, Various National Trust properties, The Tall Ships at Charlestown, Tate Gallery at St Ives, and many more.
On entering this charming cottage you will find the well equipped country style kitchen with an electric hob and oven, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. To the other side of the hallway is the dining room, accessed via a low doorway, a great area for those family meals. Also, on the ground floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading up the cottage style stairs, you will come to the first floor where the twin bedroom can be found. The lounge, also on this floor is a cosy room with a TV with BT TV and Box with Sports package, Bluetooth speaker, multi-fuel burner (first basket of logs included) and window seat, a perfect area to relax in following an action packed day of exploring. Directly from the lounge you can make your way up the steep stairs to the king-size bedroom with TV, feature fireplace, window seat and views of the sea. This room is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to access.
To the front of the property across a narrow path is the small, enclosed patio/garden with garden furniture and BBQ where you can enjoy an evening of al fresco dining and watch the comings and goings of Mevagissey.
