A really cosy little cottage in the very heart of Chester (the Cathederal bells are silenced during the night !) and even though the town is fairly lively at night we had no noisey party sounds to keep us awake. The tap water has a unique taste. The Cottage is a little bit awkward to find but once there parking is straightforward, although the 2 carRead more capacity is a bit imaginitive. The "live-next-door" caretaker is a bonus as it is easy to get things fixed (tripping ring main for example) . Hide

Excellent location. Ideal for a couple - we had three adults and more than adequate but could be a squeeze for four. Steep stairs to the bedrooms but good handrails - would be a struggle for those with very limited mobility. Cosy living area (stayed in winter) and outdoor courtyard at rear looked nice for summer. The cottage was a bit difficult to find initially but was in a wonderful location for Chester, close to the cathedral and city walls. It was somewhat let down by it's general shabbiness.

Well located within a great City, The kitchen is very small and the small fridge is situated on the floor, well below counter height making it difficult to access. We did have an issue with a rat in the garden .

We had a fantastic week. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and well-equipped. We liked tha fact that the furniture is traditional and there was plenty of storage space in the bedroom. The location is outstanding. We found it quite easily. We had thought it might be noisy at night, but it was really quiet. We intend to book it again in the future.
