This property is situated in an idyllic location in the shadow of the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Sugar Loaf, one of the most popular peaks in the area, is located just four miles from the cottage, and is a great place to enjoy a challenging hike, following the National Trust’s Sugar Loaf Circuit. There are plenty more gentle walks in the area for those who simply want to take in the breath-taking scenery, as well numerous opportunities to have a go at canoeing, abseiling, and caving. Two miles south of the cottage, the foodie town of Abergavenny, known as the Gateway to Wales is a popular destination for visitors to the area, and offers a range of independent shops, as well as good range of eateries.

This comfortable cottage is a great place to stay and enjoy a holiday in the Brecon Beacons. At the heart of the property is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to perhaps unwind with a film on the TV/DVD. The dining table here seats up to four guests, and the sofa-bed can be converted to accommodate two extra guests. The kitchen area, to one end of the room, is well-equipped and offers an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and dishwasher. The shower room, with its corner-shower and WC is located just off the lounge area, as is the bedroom: a pleasant king-size room which can be set up as a twin room on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds.  There is an external shared laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer available for guests to use.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio garden to the front of the cottage. Garden furniture has been provided to help guests to get maximum enjoyment of this space, where they can enjoy alfresco dining whilst taking in the stunning views.

Located close to Abergavenny with beautiful view of Skirrid Fawr, this cottage was perfect. Cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Ideal location for exploring Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). Enclosed garden for our little dog was a huge bonus. Will definitely return.

As far as we are concerned, the cottage was perfect and extremely clean. Lynn, the host, was more than helpful even to the point of making fresh eggs available if we wanted them. The cottage was situated in a lovely location, with views to 'die' for and central for several places to visit. Bailey, (our dog), loved his holiday too. Will hopefully beRead more back. This is a small but perfectly formed cottage, formerly a stable. It's so well equipped and clean, comfortable and stylish. The enclosed patio is great if you have a dog but the views are lovely, whatever the weather! I would highly recommend for a long weekend or a week's stay.
