Spacious barn which was a lovely surprise, a comfortable bed and a great quiet location yet not far from all the walk we wanted to do. Only downside was the heating. Needs more heat for when its cold. Would def stay again

The Weaver's gallery, Near Ambleside. We absolutely loved this cottage, it was perfect for the 2 of us and our Golden retriever. The location was also perfect, situated centrally between the lakes. We had great walks, the dog enjoyed much swimming in various lakes. We found a week was not long enough and can't wait to go back again next year. loved this place, really cosy for a couple, lovely gardens and a secluded setting. we chose it as we are keen fell walkers and wanted to be away the village for a change, however it is only a 20 minute walk to the village which was fine for us. Great lobby area for wet outdoor gear and muddy boots. would definitely stay again.

We love the peace and quiet of Weavers Gallery, which is spacious and well- equipped. The dogs have plenty of safe spaces to run around. Being near Hawkshead, it is very convenient for exploring the Lake District.

The cottage felt very airy but cosy also . It was adequately equipped and there were lovely seating areas outside in the garden on the rare occasion that the sun shone !! Beautiful property and grounds Comfortable bed and shower was hot and powerful. Kitchen well equip and spacious Lounge really relaxing and lots of room Our dogs loved the space in doors and out, its just a shame that the heating was inadequate for the size of this barn, even with the log burner on it still took ages to heat up, might be nicer in waRead morermer weather. That said we were in a great location to get out on walks, there is a nice pub (within 20 minute walk and were really friendly). Hide

Really liked the location. Very central and easy to get to all the important sights. A short distance from Hawkshead where there are several pubs doing great food and there is a co-op for all the essentials. The Outgate Inn is a 10 minute walk down the lanes. It's on a working farm, so Joy abounds, quite literally, in lambing season.

Fabulous cottage in a great location. The storage heating system does appear to struggle to warm such a big open plan space, but luckily there was an additional portable heater in the pantry. There is a plentiful supply of logs for the fire included, but I would recommend bringing firelighters or firelogs to get fire started.
