Romantic farm cottage sleeping two, located in the hamlet of Hauxwell in North Yorkshire, just five miles from the market town of Leyburn, with its interesting shops and weekly market.
This semi- detached former calf barn is located on the owner’s farm in the heart of Wensleydale. Only five miles from the farm, the market town of Leyburn has an attractive cobbled square where visitors will find an interesting range of independent shops, as well as a choice of pubs and cafes. For those who enjoy country walks, there is a pleasant circular walk to be enjoyed from the town which leads up to the vantage point of the Leyburn Shawl, a limestone scar some two miles long. Other attractions in the area, meanwhile, include The Forbidden Corner, Bolton Castle, Wensleydale Railway and the North Yorkshire Moors.
On arrival at this attractive cottage, guests will find themselves in the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where an inviting sofa allows guests to sit back and relax in front of the TV/DVD after a long day of sightseeing or walking in the Dales. Towards the rear of the room, a breakfast bar separates the lounge from the kitchen area which is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. A flight of stairs leads up to the first floor, where the bedroom is situated: a restful king-size room in the eaves of the cottage, which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC.
Outside, the property has an enclosed garden for which garden furniture and a BBQ are provided, allowing guests to make the most of the tranquil surroundings and perhaps enjoy an alfresco meal whilst admiring the views. Guests are also free to explore the farm and pay a visit to the resident animals, and maybe even help with feeds.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
