Nestled in the heart of the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape - a truly unspoilt place of natural beauty and abundant wildlife, The Dairy at Brackenthwaite Farm makes a superb choice for a short break to take in some fresh scenery or a longer stay that allows you more time to fully explore and experience the magic of the destination. Although one of the smallest National Landscapes in England, at 75 sqkm there is still plenty to keep you interested including several nature reserves, RSPB Leighton Moss, and a diverse landscape of limestone pavements, ancient woodlands, rich mudflats and wetlands, enchanting wildflower meadows, and a breath-taking coastline with awe-inspiring views. The Dairy at Brackenthwaite Farm sits within 10 acres of its own private land on the border between North Lancashire and The South Lakes at Cumbria in the northwest of England.
To the front of the property is a semi-private outdoor seating area that benefits from afternoon and evening sun, with the setting sun eventually dipping behind the striking backdrop of the Lake District hills. Upon entry to The Dairy head down a few steps into the cosy open-plan kitchen and sitting area. Notice the wood burner for creating cosy winter nights, the tall, full windows that let in so much daylight and also provide you with some incredible views of the Lake District fells, and find the glass-topped well set into the floor that lights up to add a special character to every evening of your stay. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with modern appliances including an air fryer for quick and easy dining options. The bathroom benefits from underfloor heating and mood lighting to allow you a restful soak after a day out exploring the local sights. The master bedroom is upstairs on a mezzanine level where the views can again be enjoyed, and consists of a wonderfully comfortable super king bed that can also be made into a twin bed by special request at the time of booking.
Take a stroll outside once more and you'll find The Orchard directly in front of your holiday property, which is a fully enclosed field of 2 1/2 acres that can be used for exercising dogs, walking around, and sitting out in one of the several benches provided. Elsewhere onsite you can meet the few resident farm animals of kunekune pigs, sheep, and goats - all of which are pets, plus the very friendly free range hens, ducks and other poultry that provide the farm with some of the best tasting eggs you will ever eat.
