The Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, which is where this property is located, is a hidden gem of a destination that affords you all the makings of The Lake District, yet it remains beautifully unspoilt with rich natural surroundings of limestone, wetlands, woodland, and wildflower meadows. It is truly a magical destination for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers alike. Locally you can visit the villages of Arnside and Silverdale. Both have beaches, shops, and delightful places to eat and drink. Other local points of interest include nature reserves, RSPB Leighton Moss, and the Ingleton Waterfall Trails, to name only a few. If walking is your thing, you will find some spectacular views from the top of many vantage points, giving you panoramic views of impressive coastline and The Lake District beyond.

Kick off your shoes and head into the open-plan living area of this historic cottage. First off is the lounge which you will not want to leave with sofas and armchairs surrounding the electric effect burner and Smart TV, perfect for any point of the day to relax in. Tucked away in the corner is the dining area with oak seating and a table. The open-plan kitchen is an inviting space to create some homecooked food to enjoy together or treats to take out for a day exploring the area. Heading upstairs is the double bedroom followed by the family room bathroom and a twin room.

Set within ten acres of its own private land, you will find plenty onsite to explore, and experience at your leisure including meeting the resident farm animals – all pets – that comprises of sheep, goats, and kunekune pigs, hens, and ducks. All are friendly and used to being around people.

Very clean and well equipped property. Heating was good as it was still cool in the evenings. It had everything we wanted for our short break. Nice to have eggs on our arrival. We had a lovely time. The hosts were helpful and friendly leaving us fresh farm eggs, biscuits and their own brand of coffee to greet us. We have a very active working cocker and he had a wonderful time in the enclosed field. Easy access to the Lakes and very pretty villages within a short drive.

This is a great place to visit if you want to explore the south lakes area. It really is pet friendly, large grounds to use during your stay which I'd love to use again in summer. Wellies needed to make the most of it on rainy days. Corner cottage is cosy, very clean, well equipped and was perfect for the two of us and our greyhound.

The cleanest property we have ever been too, attention to details was superb. Has a great dog area for our Labrador to run free, even with a tap to rinse off the dog. The cottage was thoughtfully and tastefully furnished. The eggs were delicious, and the specially blended coffee was very very good.
