Nestled in the hills of the Yorkshire Dales, this traditional stone cottage is ideal for couples or friends who want to enjoy walks through the countryside with the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea or a pint of beer in a nearby tearoom or pub. Situated in Swaledale, you can discover wonderful waterfalls and marvel at the wildflower meadows that the area is famous for. You may even stumble across your neighbours, the black-faced Swaledale sheep, on your travels. The walks available from your doorstep are endless. Within 3 miles, you have the town of Hawes and village of Muker, both of which offer shops, galleries, tea rooms and pubs - perfect for a lazy afternoon amble.

Lovingly decorated, this cottage has an elegant charm that creates a welcoming home, making it easy to relax into your holiday. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room is centred around the dramatic, stone fireplace and the living-flame fire which creates a cosy ambience and complements the warmth of the underfloor heating. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to create your favourite comfort food before snuggling down for the evening. Traditional cutlery and crockery are available to add the quintessential English touch to any meal. When you're feeling suitably sleepy, head upstairs to bed in the restful king-size bedroom with its high ceiling and exposed beams. The walk-in wardrobe has plenty of hanging space and is also home to the washing machine and dryer. The en-suite bathroom has a large bath and walk-in shower.

Outside the cottage, you will find a very special sheltered terrace with spectacular, unbridled views of Kisdon Hill – the perfect place to enjoy your favourite tipple whilst you soak up the surroundings.

Couldnt have picked better for our first Christmas away from home, peaceful, cosy and in a beautiful location. We wanted for nothing in terms of accommodation/facilities and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! A beautiful cottage in the beautiful Yorkshire dales!

Cottage is a perfect home from home. Very cosy and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Bed very comfortable as well. A nice bottle of bubbly and cake with jug of milk left for us. Thank you for providing a wonderful base for our holiday. The cottage was perfectly homely and we immediately felt at home- definitely helped by the treats left for us! Though the weather wasn't the best during our stay, we appreciated having the drying room to hang our wet clothes in. The kitchen had everything we needed. A beautiful location and a comfortable, warm and friendly stay. The cottage has fantastic views from the patio which is private and sheltered. Absolutely loved our stay here. The outside deck overlooked a field where the sheep, lambs, pheasants and rabbits constantly entertained us. Its rural setting meant that every drive out yielded fantastic scenery. Lovely welcome from Pat and Alan, and their own property app was incredible. 1/2 mile or so to Keld trailhead and local hotel/pub. CottagRead moree was cosy and spotless. Kitchen was well equipped. The cottage was beautiful in a lovely location and we can't fault the accommodation as this was our second stay. However our short break was spoilt by us not having any power at all from 9am -5pm on the Tuesday and 9am-4pm on the Wednesday. Unfortunately the owners only had a few days notice that Northern power was doing a planned power cut for 2 dRead moreays so we completely understand there was nothing they could do but to not have power for 7 - 8 hours for 2 days did put a dampner on things.
