This charming cottage is located on the Devon, Dorset and Somerset border, placing you perfectly for exploring all three counties. Devon offers the north and south coastlines and two rugged moorlands, Dorset meanwhile is famed for its world heritage coastline and Somerset is well known for its picturesque villages and bustling market towns. The town of Axminster is just one mile away with shops, inns, restaurants, sports centre and the famous River Cottage HQ opened by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. The Axe Valley provides lovely walking opportunities along the Dorset and East Devon Heritage coastline. Other towns, villages and attractions include Charmouth, Bridport, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe, Abbotsbury, Crealy, Bicton Park, Burrows Farm Gardens and several National Trust properties. This stylish accommodation is well-equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. On the ground floor, you’ll find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a country kitchen feel and wooden dining table. There is a dishwasher, electric oven with hob and hood, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave and in the lounge area, comfortable sofas and Smart TV/DVD and DAB radio/CD/iPod dock. There is also a wood burner, which is sure to keep you warm and cosy, and your first basket of logs is included. A bathroom with bath and WC can also be found on this floor. Upstairs, there is a galleried landing area which overlooks the ground floor and leads to the two bedrooms: these are made up of a king size with TV and Freeview and a luxury en-suite shower room with WC and skylight over the shower, whilst the twin room is accessed via three steps and offers 2’6” beds and limited headroom. Outside, the property looks out across the owners’ pretty thatched Devon longhouse and is accessed via a long drive. Guests are welcome to enjoy the large shared, enclosed garden with play equipment, swings and Wendy house. Adjacent to the property you will also find a spacious laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

A lovely place at a very fair price. By necessity we had only a Thurs-Tues period available and Bloomsbury Loft came up trumps with our quick stay in March. Cosy place with all one could require. The heating seemed very efficient and we were never cold. Wifi worked well. Kitchen well equipped. We travelled as a family of four, daughters who are 4 and 1, the cottage had everything we could have wanted or needed! Stair gates, highchair, wooden cot (this is extra but just message Tim and he will sort it for you!) non slip bath mats, cleaning products, potty, step, childrens books and games, cafeteria, bottle opener! Cream tea was a lovely welcome. Thank you. The cottage had all we needed and was cosy and comfy. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen although we didnt really do any cooking. Well located for a day in Lyme Regis. Millers Farm shop 5 mins away did a lovely lunch and had lots of treats. Thank you to our hosts for looking after us.

Gorgeous place, in quiet countryside , driving distance to lovely beaches, tourist attractions, My kids loved the play equipment in the garden. Plenty of cooking utensils, pans, plates etc. shower really good, the beds were comfortable. Grateful for use of laundry room too, made packing easier. The only thing I would have liked is a little seating Read morearea in the sun for having a cuppa (but that wasnt expected - but might worth being aware of if you are outdoors people). Hide

A lovely place to stay, so peaceful but handy for travelling to the beach or local amenities. The Loft was like a mini home from home with the bed being especially comfy. Im sure we will be return.

I would recommend the cottage to anyone, there was everything you needed for a short break, and the scones on arrival were a great start to the break. Very clean and a lovely location to get around a lot of places.

This cottage and location is absolutely perfect and was an amazing value in a difficult time. The accommodation had everything we could need and was absolutely spotless! I was actually taken back how nice it was. Well recommend this place always!

Very characterful cottage in a nice quiet location, great for exploring the coast. Cottage was well equipped but had a few issues with hot water but nothing major.

Bloomsbury loft is a lovely cottage with all the amenities you need for a great holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped and the wood burner was a welcoming extra on cold evenings (even though the heating works perfectly). The master bedroom is spacious, the bed super comfy and the whole apartment was super clean! Parking is just outside. Its a 15 miRead morenutes walk I to Axminster from the cottage and a great base for exploring the Jurassic coast! Id love to come back! Hide

Pretty cottage well situated and very comfortable. The two bath rooms were much appreciated and everywhere was spotless . It has a log burner which we did not need to use but I can imagine it would be a cosy feel on a cold day .

We had a really nice time, the Loft is perfect for families with young kids as everything we needed (from changing mat to toys, books and baby gates) was kindly provided by the owners. Our 19 month old daughter absolutely loved the garden with the doll house and trampoline. The location is perfect for exploring coastal Devon and Dorset.

Another great stay at Bloomsbury Loft. Comfortable and well equipped for families. Our 17 month old loved the books and the play area in the garden. Lyme Regis is easily accessible and there is plenty of places to go and things to see within a short drive.
