This beautiful property is perfectly positioned for touring both Devon and Cornwall. Guests are well placed to walk to many local attractions such as Cotehele House and Gardens, or through Cotehele Woods to Calstock. Nearby is the village of St Mellion, famous for its Jack Nicklaus golf course.  Plymouth is within easy reach, with its historic Barbican, National Marine Aquarium and thriving shopping centre. You are a short drive from the beautiful historic town of Tavistock and the popular villages of Looe and Polperro, each with a range of restaurants, pubs and shops. Other local attractions include several impressive National Trust properties, the Eden Project, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, the Tamar Valley Donkey Park and much more.  

On entering this lovely property you will find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The comfortable lounge is an ideal spot for relaxing in, complete with TV/DVD and music system. There is also a dining table to seat 4 within the kitchen area. The attractive kitchen contains everything you may need during your stay including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment. Exploring the cottage further, you will find a beautiful and bright conservatory with plenty of seating and charming views out over the garden. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor, with large double whirlpool bath and separate shower with WC. Heading upstairs, you will find a spacious and comfy super-king-size bedroom with wash basin and a seating area with beautiful views over the garden. There is ample room for two extra single beds or up to two cots (which are available on request).

Stepping outside you can unwind in the pretty garden, which includes a delightful fountain, along with a patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. There is ample parking available.

Thank you, Chris and Angela, for such a relaxing week. Fountain Barn and your garden are lovely and a great location to explore this area. We felt well looked after and the mid-week cream scones were a real treat. We can definitely recommend this place to other people.

Perfect cottage for a relaxing holiday, centrally located to explore East and North Cornwall. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The decor was clean and fresh but still felt comfortable and homely. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Couldn't ask for anything else and would highly recommend

Super cottage owned by a fantastic couple who gave us such a warm welcome we felt at home immediately. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The cottage was immaculately clean and well appointed with a fabulous conservatory for a late afternoon snooze and a huge whirlpool bath, great for relaxing after a day out walking.

Very comfortable and tranquil location. Hosts discrete but readily available. A beautiful place to unwind whatever the weather. Good walks from the property and good pub on the door step. Accessible from the main road via a couple of single track lanes, our SATNAV wanted to explore them all! Amenities not far by a vehicle.

Everything you need for a peaceful & relaxing break. Very comfortable and fully equipped accommodation in a stunning location. The personal touches were really appreciated. The cottage was lovely,it had everything you could possibly want including the lovely conservatory. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful telling us places to visit. Enjoyed especially the peace and quiet this cottage delivered.

We had an amazing week in a very comfortable cottage. Great hosts! The jacuzzi bath was a real treat and we loved the space in the conservatory. We would definitely look at staying here again.
