The island upon which this property is set, is a beautiful and peaceful island brimming with wildlife and gorgeous scenery. For those that are a fan of sea life and fishing, sit back and admire the seals and dolphins right from the house itself, or head out on the property owner's creel fishing boat to catch a delightful dish for dinner. The local inn is just 1 mile away, where you will find great food, drink and spectacular views out to the sea where your meal has been sourced from. 5 miles away is the village of Gairloch which has a small selection of cafes, pubs and independent shops, perfect for a bit of retail therapy throughout your stay.

Upon arriving at this property, you will be greeted by the owner who will take your luggage over to the island allowing you to experience the magical winding path and floating bridge that lead to this quaint cottage. Inside, you will find a well-equipped and well-presented kitchen and a dining area to enjoy a nice romantic meal at, which then leads onto a cosy living room – an ideal space for enjoying a good book or some games. The double bedroom and shower room are both well finished and have everything you need to both get ready for the day ahead and have a restful night's sleep.

Out the back of the property, there is a beautiful suntrap garden area where you can sit and enjoy a nice refreshing glass of wine while the BBQ sizzles away. There is also a wonderfully romantic hot tub. The shared patio at the front of the building is where you can catch the most stunning sunsets – you will be truly amazed at how at one with nature you will feel upon returning from a stay on this island.

Fabulous stay in the downstairs of the old curing station. Ian, Jess, family and Dubh the dog are the perfect hosts. Great location to see the many delights of this part of the west coast and nearby munros.

The cottage was in a lovely position on Dry Island with fabulous views but we hadnt realised our outside area was not exclusively ours as Shellfish Safari customers met in this same area.

The cottage is comfortable and had everything I needed and plenty I didnt even know I needed. If you are going to complain about noise/footsteps above you from time to time then dont go. In that respect it is the same as being in a hotel. Ian and his family did there utmost to make our stay enjoyable.
