This is a lovely cottage for 2 people & dog. The location is very good for walks etc. Would advise a car for longer journeys to Ambleside, Grasmere etc. Car parking space very small and worried about any cars driving past and hitting it (that didn't happen however). Great walk from Monk Coniston up to Tarn Hows. Coniston is a 20 minute walk away wiRead moreth a good selection of pubs. Hide

A delightful cottage with some lovely features and was a joy to spend time in. A very comfortable bed, lounge and well equipped kitchen.we loved being able to walk to Brantwood (1.2 miles away) which is well worth a visit including the lovely cafe there. We walked lots- down to the village (2 miles) where the nice coffee shops were a great reward! Read moreWe walked to Tarn Hows. The rain did not deter us from enjoying this lovely part of the Lake District. Hide

Superb little cottage. Great location for walks. My only suggestion would be for tea/coffee/milk to be there for a drink upon arriving also perhaps a few logs for log burner.

Amazing cottage in a great location. Superbly equipped in all regards didnt need to use the car once during our 7 night stay! Very cosy and romantic would definitely stay again. Our only request would be to fix the noise issues coming from the games room (pool table) in the adjoining farmhouse cottage.

Very comfortable cottage - Tarn Hows walk very pretty and at thge top, an ice cream van awaits! Brantwood cafe very nice and lovely views. A clearer door sign would make it easier to find in the dark.

Had a relaxing time. Would recommend the full lake steam cruise and a visit to Grizedale Forest - we saw a red squirrel! However the parking space is not really a space, should be described as off road parking.
