This lovely holiday home enjoys an enviable location in Alnwick, just a short distance from the town centre where you will find a great range of cafes, boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and the popular and historic Alnwick Castle. The Alnwick Garden is close to the Castle and is a must-visit, featuring a spectacular grand-cascade water feature, a Poison Garden and one of the world's largest tree houses which plays host to a renowned restaurant. You will be just a 10 minute drive from the stunning Northumberland coastline, where you can explore the picturesque seaside villages of Alnmouth, Amble, Craster and Seahouses, the castles of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth, and take boat trips out to Lindisfarne or the Farne Islands.

On entering this delightful property, you will find yourself in the inviting and tastefully furnished lounge. With comfy seating, TV, DVD and a traditional wood burner, the light and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a fantastic day. Heading into the spacious and stylish kitchen/diner, you will find a charming dining area with seating for up to six guests. The attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped with a range-style hob and electric oven, integrated washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Exploring this single-level property further you will find two cosy bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with a zip-and-link super-king-size bed, which can be made up as twin beds on prior request, and a TV. You will also find a double bedroom with TV. There’s also a large shower room, complete with a spacious walk-in shower with rainforest shower head and additional hand-held shower, WC and underfloor heating. There’s also a separate WC.

Outside the cottage, there is an enclosed patio area which features a private hot tub. The patio also has an outdoor dining area where you can relax and enjoy a meal alfresco. There is parking available for up to two cars in the shared driveway at the side of the property.  There’s also an additional shared patio area with dining table and BBQ. You will also have access to the shared gardens in the grounds and children's play equipment.

A lovely lodge in an excellent location to use as a base to visit the many places of interest in Northumberland. The hot tub provided a great way to end the days.

The welcome goodies were a lovely touch and well received by us all! The hot tub was fab, beds were really comfy. Beautiful lodge, would recommend to anyone wanting holiday accommodation close to Alnwick town centre.

Lovely accommodation. Really well equipped and had everything youd need. Hot tub was a great size and well maintained. Ample parking and felt safe and secure. It was a great base for exploring Northumberland and the Northumberland coast. Alnwick town centre is close by and is easily walked. Lots of shops and supermarkets close by.

I want to say its awful. I want to say dont go there - but that would only be so we can have the place to ourselves!! Thornbrae Lodge is beautiful. Its very high spec and the owners attention to detail really shows. The Welcome Pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The quality and detail was apparent throughout. Well equipped and even the knives were sharp (and that's very rare in rental properties)! Really pleasant owners too. It was a lovely stay with lots of nice scenery, restaurants and trips close by.
